Adorning your clothes with patches was a popular trend in the 90's that has resurfaced and you'll no doubt notice it the next time you're shopping on the high street or visiting your favourite online retailers.
These patch letters are a fun and quirky way to express your style and add some personality to your clothing or other apparel like bags, hats or even soft furnishings.
Please Note: The bottom of each rhinestone letter has a hotfix (hot melt) adhesive and it is recommended to iron from the back of the clothing and not the front. Ensure to control the temperature as too hot and the adhesive will melt. If you prefer you can also use rhinestone glue to affix to your clothing or apparel items.
Ironing Instructions
The back of these letters is NOT sticky, they will become sticky once heated as they are made from hotfix. You may want to ensure to trim the letters a little before application so please do check them over before applying heat as per the instructions below.
1. Ensure your garment is clean & freshly laundered (this includes new items).
2. Set your iron to the "COTTON" setting, for five minutes ((Important: Ensure NO STEAM))
3. Thoroughly iron the area of your garment where the patch (or patches) will be placed.
4. Place the patch on your garment where you would like it, pearls/gems facing up. Using pins secure the patch/es in place.
5. From the REVERSE of the garment only (ironing from the top will damage your patch) using a slow circular motion, press firmly for 30 seconds.
7. Let cool for one minute. If the edge of the patch can be lifted, repeat step 5
Please Note: Do NOT try to iron the patches onto un iron-able fabrics with a low melting point such as nylons, vinyls or leathers.
Aftercare: Once your patch is applied do not bleach your garment & ensure to hand wash with cold water only.
