The iron eyelets with washers are metal rings used to reinforce holes or joins in leather, fabric, and canvas. They provide durability and a neat, sturdy finish while giving a stylish touch to shoes, bags, belts, jackets, caps, and other garments. They’re perfect for crafts, leatherwork, bookbinding, lacing, and regular everyday use.
To fit eyelets, using the Green Machine Hand Press®, take the Hole Cutting Die in the same size as your eyelets and cut a hole in your fabric. Swap out your hole cutting die for your Eyelet Die Set (also the same size), placing the base die in the bottom and screwing the top die into the top. Place your grommet face down over the stud of the base die, lay your precut hole over the top, place your washer over it, and slowly but firmly push your Green Machine handle down to secure your eyelet in place.
