KAM snap poppers are a great lightweight option that offer neat, secure closures instead of the regular sew-on type buttons or hook & loop fasteners. The snaps are made from high-grade plastic; they can be easily applied with either snap pliers or a hand press. These snaps can be used on a variety of fabrics, including cottons, fleece, denim, knits, soft canvas, and similar textiles. They are ideal for clothing, baby clothes, bibs, and more. The snap poppers can be set using pliers or a hand press to securely lock in place.
To fit Snap Poppers, using the Green Machine Hand Press®, first get your Snap Poppers Die Set and place your base die into the bottom and screw your top die in above. There are four parts to a snap popper: two pronged rings, the male part (stud), and the female part (socket). Put one of your pronged rings face down on the base die, place your fabric over the top, and slot the female part into the top die (this part can be tricky to get right the first time, so we recommend watching the YouTube video for more detailed and visual guidance). Slowly but firmly push your Green Machine handle down to secure. Repeat the process with the male part to complete the other half of the snap popper.
